These Terms govern your use of ismaili.org (the "Site"), operated by Webbinghouse LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Independence
The Site is an independent community website. It is not an official website of the Ismaili Imamat, the Ismaili Council, or any Jamatkhana or Jamati institution, and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by them. You may not present any content on the Site as official, or as speaking for those institutions. For official information, visit the.ismaili.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. You are responsible for your account, your password and everything posted from it. Give accurate information when you sign up, including on matrimonial profiles.
3. Member content
You own what you post, and you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it on the Site. You may not post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, suggestive or obscene (including photos and videos), misleading, or that infringes anyone's copyright or trademark. You may not use the names, logos, emblems or photographs of the Ismaili Imamat, the Ismaili Council or any Jamati institution in a way that suggests official status or endorsement. New profiles, posts, photos, videos, ads and listings are reviewed before they appear. We may refuse or remove content, or suspend accounts, that break these rules, without notice.
4. Membership is free
Creating an account and using the Site is free. There is no membership fee and no automatic renewal.
If we add optional paid features in the future (for example, ID verification), the price will be shown in US dollars before you pay, payments will be processed by Stripe, and we will update these Terms before the feature goes live. We never store your full card number.
5. Refunds
Because membership is free, there is nothing to refund. Refund terms for any future paid feature will be stated before you buy it. Questions: email info@ismaili.org.
6. Listings between members (events, classifieds, roommates, rentals, services, matrimonial)
Ismaili.org is a platform. Members and promoters post their own listings and profiles and are responsible for them being accurate and lawful. We do not verify members' identities, and we do not own, inspect or guarantee any person, item, room, rental, service or event listed by others. We are not a party to agreements between members. Housing listings must follow fair housing laws; listings for a whole apartment or house may not state a preference based on religion, race, national origin, sex, familial status or disability. Meet safely and use your own judgment.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Termination and changes
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms. We may update these Terms and will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
